About Us

Welcome to Indie Hacker Tools

We built Indie Hacker Tools because we were tired of sifting through bloated “best SaaS tools” listicles that read like they were written by someone who’s never actually launched a product.

We’re indie hackers, builders, and solo founders ourselves — and this Site exists to answer the questions we kept asking while building our own projects: which AI tool actually saves time on this task, which no-code stack won’t fall apart at scale, what tech stack similar startups are running on, and which tools are worth paying for versus which ones are just well-marketed.

What We Cover

Indie Hacker Tools focuses on practical, no-fluff content for people building SaaS products, side projects, and small tech businesses, including:

  • AI tool comparisons for specific, real-world tasks — not generic “top 10” lists
  • No-code and automation workflows using tools like Zapier, Make, and n8n
  • SaaS starter kits and boilerplates across different tech stacks
  • Tech stack breakdowns of real startups and indie projects
  • Micro-SaaS ideas and case studies for aspiring founders
  • Finance and productivity tools built for solopreneurs and freelancers

Alongside our content, we build and maintain our own free tools — including an AI tool directory, invoicing generator, and SaaS pricing calculator — designed to save you time, not just point you toward more reading.

How We Make Money

Running this Site costs time and money, and we’re transparent about how we keep it going:

  • Advertising — we display ads through third-party ad networks
  • Affiliate partnerships — some links on this Site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no extra cost to you
  • Our own tools and products — some tools we build are free, others are paid

Our recommendations are based on genuine research and, wherever possible, hands-on use. Affiliate relationships never determine which tools we recommend — they simply help fund the Site so we can keep publishing.

Our Approach

We use AI-assisted research and writing as part of our content process to help us cover more ground, faster — but every piece is structured, reviewed, and shaped around real usefulness, not just keyword coverage. If something feels generic or padded, we’ve failed at our own goal.
