This Returns and Refund Policy applies to digital products, tools, and templates purchased directly through Indie Hacker Tools (indiehackertools.online) (the “Site”). It does not apply to third-party tools or services purchased through affiliate links on our Site — those purchases are governed by the respective third party’s own refund policy.
1. Digital Products
Due to the nature of digital products (including but not limited to templates, boilerplates, guides, and downloadable tools), all sales are generally final once the product has been delivered or accessed. However, we want you to be satisfied with your purchase, so exceptions are outlined below.
2. Refund Eligibility
We will consider a refund request if:
- The product is defective, does not function as described, or fails to deliver due to a technical error on our end
- You were charged in error or duplicate (double billing)
- The product was significantly different from what was described at the point of purchase
Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of purchase.
3. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds will generally not be granted if:
- You simply changed your mind after downloading or accessing the product
- You did not read the product description or requirements before purchasing
- The request is made after the 7-day window has passed
- The issue is caused by incompatibility with your own systems, tools, or setup, where compatibility requirements were clearly stated at the point of sale
4. How to Request a Refund

- Your order/receipt number
- The email address used for purchase
- A brief explanation of the issue
We aim to respond to all refund requests within 5 business days.
5. Refund Processing
If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout. Processing time may vary depending on your payment provider (typically 5–10 business days).
6. Subscription-Based Products
If any product or tool on this Site is offered on a subscription basis, you may cancel at any time to stop future billing. Cancellations do not retroactively refund the current billing period unless it falls under the eligibility criteria in Section 2.
7. Third-Party Purchases
Many tools mentioned or linked on this Site are third-party products. Any purchase made through an affiliate link on our Site is a transaction between you and that third party. Refunds for those purchases must be requested directly from the third-party provider in accordance with their own refund policy — we are not able to process refunds on their behalf.
